![]() ![]() Therefore, cannon ammo quite often sold for 2k-3k coins each due to the tedium of getting steel in the first place (most often came from mining, and there were no beasts of burden or "smelt-x" back then). And smelting cannonballs was slow, requiring four different messages about 2 seconds apart. How do you get ammo? By smelting it from a steel bar. It only became available on the completion of its very own (relatively simple) quest.Īnd then, after finally saving up enough to buy it. A single part of a cannon, useless on its own, could be traded for the game's best weapon. Or, if you wanted to buy each individual part, 200,000 each. Back then, that was considered a lot of money, and wielding such a weapon was a show of status.īut then came the cannon, which cost a whopping 750,000 coins. The most expensive store-bought item back then was the Dragon Battleaxe, costing a solid 200,000 coins. So, rather than analyze an update that came out this month, let's focus on an update that came out back in 2003.īack during its release, it was the symbol of wealth. Which is understandable a lot of resources are being put into the larger upcoming quests and features like RuneScape Mobile and the upcoming Construction Update (I don't care what you say, it is happening). overall too much on heros and not enough boot on table. This month hasn't had much for updates. so what do you think what are some areas my army may need work on I am guessing 10 here? dont need the prospector here I take it there are 20 of them? many think hammerers are better, but i thinks its down to opinion You could buy 2 naked dragon slayer for him!!ĭrop the great weapons and give shields, a rune on the standard would also be nice I find it better to have 1-2 spellbreakers and a RoStone for protection Ok and a classic but other than fighting he doesnt help the army as a whole ![]() If you plan to go offensive - then you should drop the Organ Gun and take a Gyro. What type of tactics do you plan to use - if you are going for the standard "sit back and shoot" plan - then you are a little light in the shooting department. With just a cannon, you really don't need the Master Engineer - unless you know that you will need that D6 wounds to take out some heavy hitter. You could save the points on the Rune of Determination and get the same type of protection against breaking. Every dwarf that can have a shield, should have a shield. Longbeards at S4 do just fine without them - the Longbeards should have shields tho'. If anyone needs the greatweapons it's the warriors. In fact, you could switch one unit to Quarrelers and have points to give both the Thunderers and Quarrelers shields. I'd try to find some points for shields for your Thunderers - they do much better in combat if they have shields. I think you could beef up both your warriors and longbeards if you drop both the ME and DS and add in the BSB. In particular, you skipped the Battle Standard Bearer - this guy will do you more good than either the Master Engineer or the Dragon Slayer. Some folks feel that these points are better spent on troops. You have pumped alot of points into characters. ![]()
